A Gift from God
It is so wonderful being able to take our little girl out and about freely now. We waited so long to be able to do this and now that the time is here we are having a blast. We’ve been able to take her to a number of places (restaurants, malls, etc) and she is just such a good baby. Today marks the first day we were able to be in church as a family. This is obviously more meaningful to us than the malls etc.
This morning we participated in the parent/child dedication at our church. During that time there was a brief video shown quickly recapping the last nine months with Brady for those who didn’t already know how our journey started. Last night Nikkie and I spent some time getting photos together to make this video and we found it terribly difficult to keep the video down to about a minute. We have over a thousand photos just from the 3 months she spent in the hospital. Preemies change a lot as they grow closer to full term and we didn’t want to skip anything. Well you can only do so much in 60 seconds so we made a second video for the internet. It’s about 8 minutes long and it goes from day 1 up until a few weeks ago.
It is our prayer that families who are currently going through this experience and families who will one day experience this can watch our video and have hope. Hope in our powerful God above and know that He is good. We went through our fair share in the NICU but it could have been much worse. We have been very blessed to have a baby girl who, so far, has shown no signs of any adverse affects of being born 12 weeks early. So check out the video below and know that He is good!

Brady Faith was brought into this world 12 weeks premature. This was a result of mommy having pre-eclampsia and there being a reverse blood flow to/from the placenta. Brady wasn't growing like she should and it would have just gotten worse. She weighed 1lb 7oz and was 11 3/4in long. To learn more about Brady and her family click here.

SOOOO cute! I know what you mean about trying to narrow things down. It is so hard when you know what you’ve been through and how much the kids change, sometimes daily. You want to express all of that or maybe it’s more like impress that she went through all of that and only by God’s grace is she here today and thriving.
So happy for you to be able to take her to church for the first time. It just makes things feel complete doesn’t it!

Awesome video!!! She is so beautiful! It’s hard to believe how much she has grown. I’m so glad that she is doing so well. It’s so great that you’re able to take her to church with you now. My son is 14 months old and is starting to be a little feisty at church making it difficult to pay attention =)
