Erik and I obviously started this blog with the intention of keeping everyone up to date with Brady’s progress, but this post is going to be a little different. There is a “club” that you unknowingly are allowed into when you have a premature baby. As humans we automatically become close to people who have similar life experiences. Due to this part of human nature I am now apart of the exclusive club of mommy to a preemie.

I am very ( too ) active in an online community called It’s a great resource to all women, whether they are pregnant, have kids, or are trying to have kids. Within this community there are different groups. One of these groups is Preemie Parenting. I love this group.  It is a way for me to know that I am not alone when it comes to knowing what it’s like to have your child stop breathing because they were born to early to remember.

In the exclusive group I found out about a little girl named Kayleigh. She is an inspiration to everyone, especially to parents of preemies. Miss Kayliegh was born weighing 1 pound. She has been on the hospital almost 10 months due to so many complications I won’t even start to write them down here. She has had so many ups and downs and her parents have said goodbye to her multiple times. The awesome thing is every time she has pulled through.

One thing I want to point out about the Freeman’s is that they have an amazing faith. Every time Kayleigh has been healed they give the glory to God. Their faith is so strong that even with the possibility of the death of their child they continually praise God for all He has done through Kayleigh.

I want you to get on your knees right now and pray for this little baby. Early this morning her dad wrote a post that just broke my heart and sent me into an immediate crying fit. Kayleigh had surgery earlier this week. This surgery was the last step for her to come home. Kayleigh is now not waking up, and they believe she is brain dead. There have been no updates today on her condition so I have no clue how she is doing. I know they are doing a few tests to see if she really is brain dead.

Please pray for this little girl and her family. I am so thankful that they know the saving grace of Jesus, but it can’t make your heart hurt less when there is the possibility you are going to lose your little girl.

Thanks for praying for Kayleigh as hard as you prayed for Brady.

Please visit their blog to get a grasp of the miracles God has performed in the life of this family. You can’t read their blog and question the existence of God.
