A Gift from God
So, I have come to realize that people enjoy this blog. It amazes me the people who tell us that we haven’t written in a few days or that we need to put up new pictures. Each little comment like that makes me happy because it shows me how much people care. It’s been a little while since pictures have been added, but it’s amazing how busy Erik is, and he is the only computer nerd in the house. I have no clue how to add the pictures, and if I did I would probably forget.
My little girl is growing! She was weighed tonight and gained 3 ounces which puts her up to 2 lbs 5 ounces. She just keeps putting the ounces on. She is starting to fill out and look like a real baby. I’m back at work so I have the chance to go up there on my lunch break because I work 5 min away. It’s a blessing.
We were told this past weekend that she would possibly need a blood transfusion, but that hasn’t happened as of yet. She is looking pale, but her numbers (technical term I wouldn’t dream of spelling) are not low enough for a transfusion and they are keeping an eye on it. She has an eye exam tomorrow, so hopefully her eyes are maturing. The nurses last night commented on how alert she was and that just makes me so happy. She wakes up so much when you change her diaper and take her temperature. I am sure some if it is due to the fact that taking her temp makes her very angry sometimes. I don’t get it. We take it under her arm. I would think changing her diaper would be more upsetting.
So that’s all for now. She continues to do well. Every day I am thankful for her progress and just the fact that she’s here and doing well. So many things can happen to babies in her situation. God has blessed us tremendously!
Brady Faith was brought into this world 12 weeks premature. This was a result of mommy having pre-eclampsia and there being a reverse blood flow to/from the placenta. Brady wasn't growing like she should and it would have just gotten worse. She weighed 1lb 7oz and was 11 3/4in long. To learn more about Brady and her family click here.

How amazing to watch her grow! Thanks for sharing – I know its got to be hard to keep going all day and run back and forth to the hospital as well. All three of you are an inspiration to us all! Are you old enough to know the old Ray Charles song “what a wonderful world?” Every time I look at little Brady Faith I think of that song. God Bless!

Nikkie and Erik,
I have so much enjoyed reading your blog and keeping up with your precious gift from God. Brady is so beautiful and I have been saying a special prayer for her and your entire family everyday. I find myself going to your website often to see current updates on Brady Faith (What a wonderful name).
Nikkie, I grew up on Warren Drive in Port Wentworth and lived across the street from your mom, grandparents, and aunts. You are blessed to be a part of the “Brady” group and I know how much support and love you are receiving from your special family. I have lived in Marietta since 1979, but I have such fond memories of my childhood days in Port Wentworth and living accross the street from the Brady’s.
Brady, indeed, has so many people praying for her!

What a great day to know how fast Brady is growing.Seeing pictures of her last night was so amazing. She now by her standard looks cubby and full faced. We were all so excited to see how God continues to bless us with Brady’s progress and that he is faithful in all things. What a nice time we all had celebrating Kayla’s birthday and Brady’s weight gain we all seem to find so much joy in the small things which is what the Lord desires of us.Nikkie and Erik keep loving holding and seeing all things through christ eyes and Brady will to. I love you guys and can’t wait till sunday so I can see her. Before we know it christmas will be here and we will be celebrating our saviors birth and she will be right there with us.
Love you Aunt Gayle
