Our little lady is now 9 pounds and 19 inches. She’s doing quite well and we couldn’t be happier. She’s now off of her Reglan and is eating between 4 and 5 ounces each feeding. This girl can really sleep too (not that we have anything to compare her to). We feed her anywhere between 8:30 and 10pm and she will sleep until 5 or 6am typically. It’s quite nice to have the time at night!
We recently got some really great pictures so I put them up on Flickr tonight. We will try to get some “Christmas Pictures” sometime I suppose. Life has been quite hectic as you can probably imagine. Christmas is only 5 days away and it’s crazy to think about that fact. Unfortunately this year we have absolutly no money to give gifts to our family and friends. We aren’t used to that but that will allow us to really focus more on spending the quality time with family that’s best. Thankfully Christmas isn’t about gifts from one to another – it’s about a gift we all were given 2 thousand years ago. We are excited about celebrating Christmas with our family.
Something else dawned on me this past week. I work in an office of plenty of people who have been sick on and off for the past couple of months. We have also had some family get sick with this and that since Brady has come home. During this entire time we have surely seen the protection around our little girl and mommy and daddy. We haven’t been sick at all and that is very important for a family with a preemie.
Thank you for all your continual thoughts, comments and most importantly prayers.
Brady Faith was brought into this world 12 weeks premature. This was a result of mommy having pre-eclampsia and there being a reverse blood flow to/from the placenta. Brady wasn't growing like she should and it would have just gotten worse. She weighed 1lb 7oz and was 11 3/4in long. To learn more about Brady and her family click here.
